DE Series Sound Transmission Control Doors

Republic Stainless Steel Doors are designed and built to withstand the harshest environments. This solution utilizes all-stainless-steel construction, including reinforcement components. Stainless steel stiffeners are epoxy-glued to eliminate surface imperfections associated with welding.

In addition to standard flush and panel doors, custom doors are available in a wide range of cores, lites, and louvers. Custom sizing, lites, and finishes combined with industry performance ratings can create an architectural design perfect for showcase projects.

Stainless Steel Doors and Frames are an ideal solution for applications that require sterile environments, architectural entrances, and corrosive environments exposed to exterior elements or harsh chemicals.

    • Hardware preparations and reinforcements are in accordance with ANSI A250.6-2003. Locations are in accordance with ANSI/DHI A115; alternate locations are available. 
  • Ratings
    • Fire-rated up to Class A (3 hour)
    • Sound-rated door & frame assemblies up to STC 46
    • Hurricane approved
  • Exceptional corrosion resistance – 100% stainless steel
    • Type 304 Alloy Standard corrosion resistance 
    • Type 316 Alloy Heavy duty corrosion resistance

Approvals and specified industry standards

Doors and frame STC systems have been tested to ASTM E90, E413, ASTM E 1332-10a, and ASTM E 2235-04 by independent third party laboratories qualifyed under NVLAP by the National Institute for Science and Technology (NIST), Architectural Testing Inc. and Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories.

Exceeds industry standards

  • Republic is SDI Certified through regular audits to ensure manufacturing, performance and quality standards set by the Steel Door Institute
  • Overall door construction exceeds ANSI A250.8-2017 (SDI-100), the standard set by SDI specifying sizes, design, materials, construction, finishing and performance for standard commercial steel doors and frames
  • Hardware preparations and reinforcements meet ANSI A250.6-2003, and locations meet ANSI/DHI A115, unless otherwise stated
  • Doors meet the broadest fire rating requirements; they are listed for installations requiring compliance to both neutral pressure testing (ASTM E152 and UL-10B) and positive pressure standards (UL-10C)
  • Factory-applied baked-on rust inhibiting primer meets ANSI A250.10-2011
